Wood River Trails being cleared for spring season.
April 7, 2006
The Wood River Trails system which is the valleys main bike path between Bellevue and Hailey is slowly opening up for dryland recreation. Blaine County Recreation District has begun clearing with snowplows and front-end loaders. As of April 6th, the path is mostly free of snow (weather dependent) from Bellevue to ButterCup north of Hailey. From Hailey north is being worked on right now as well as the deeper snowpacks from East Fork up and should be clear and melted in the next couple weeks.
Be aware there may be stones and other obstacles to watch for until the trails are completely melted and cleaned with a sweeper. Enjoy!
